I haven't updated in a while, so I'll try to get everything into one post:
אכת) I've decided that the most annoying thing in the world is when your underwear is falling down, and you start to reach for your ass, but then you remember you're in class and the teacher is right behind you, not to mention sticking your hand down your pants in public is just really awkward. So then when you get up, you have to sort of waddle to keep it up. You can see people looking at you kind of funny, and you want to laugh, but you can't. And what kind of word is awkward, anyway? I guess it fits its meaning, it's so awkward it feels awkward to spell it right...ha.
שתים) Regarding the BA, Haley's stepped down and left Christina and I in charge. I knew she'd be busy in college, but I never expected her to be stepping down...and I never expected to be her successor. It's exciting, but also scary and surreal at the same time. I don't think I'll ever be able to compare to the Queen, though...
שלוש) The juniors are back, so on Saturday night we had an Israeli Rave to celebrate. It wasn't a real rave, since there were no drugs, but it was amazing. I mostly watched movies and talked; rave dancing really isn't that much fun because it's mostly jumping around. But it turns out I have pretty good hair for headbanging because it's curly, almost down to my elbows, and tends to attack people. Plus with the strobe lights, after you've been on the dance floor for a while, you really can't see what's going on, because the strobe lights sort of freeze the action. And considering a lot of people were probably drunk off of lack of sleep and there was a striptease, I decided to leave. I ended up staying up until 7 AM, but I learned an important lesson: If you're going to fall asleep at a party, take your shoes off and find a secluded room first. Because if your shoes are still on it means you passed out, and even if they aren't, if you pass out in a hallway or a room with a lot of people, they can and will seize the opportunity. At AHA, you don't have to be drunk to wake up next to the most random people.
ארבע) I finished my last poem for the Poet Laureate Contest, Family Portrait. I wrote it while I was looking at a family portrait (obviously) from a few months before my parent's divorce. I've entered all the other poems I've posted on here, though I don't know if I'll win because I'm only a freshman, and they're all on the short side. I guess we'll see how it turns out.
